Volunteer Scheduling to Multiple Events/Same Day

We pay volunteers to staff our nurseries. When trying to schedule volunteers in scheduler, it won't allow me to schedule a volunteer in back to back services. This is their preference, so it would be nice to be able to show them in scheduler so it doesn't show we are short staffed.
